Germaine practices in the areas of employment law, family law, and corporate transactions.

With a focus on the cost-benefit analysis of litigation, Germaine emphasizes collaboration prior to litigation in her practice of law. Germaine has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, and has experience representing clients in private arbitrations.

Prior to Mint Legal, Germaine worked at several boutique law firms, the Crown Prosecutor’s Office and several major oil and gas companies.

Germaine is a member of the Association of Women in Law, J. Reuben Clark Law Society, Law Society of Alberta, Alberta Wilderness Association. Additionally, Germaine serves on the board of directors of the Solace Grief Support Society.

Legal Counsel

Kathleen practices in the areas of family law, employment law and wills and estates.

Kathleen takes a collaborative approach on files where she offers pragmatic advice to clients and looks at issues from various angles to progress negotiations and reach resolution.

Kathleen has gained a broad range of legal experience in multiple jurisdictions and across several areas of law. Kathleen has appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice and King’s Bench for family matters, and has appeared before both Provincial and Federal Courts for criminal matters. Prior to her admission as a lawyer in Alberta, Kathleen was admitted as a lawyer in Australia where she worked on family criminal law cases.

Kathleen is a member of the Association of Women in Law, the Law Society of Alberta, and the Law Society of New South Wales.

Destany is a highly skilled legal assistant with over 5 years experience in the legal field.

Destany is known for her exceptional attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure. Destany supports clients with a sense of calm and order, in even the most chaotic of files.

Selma is a seasoned legal assistant with over 8 years of experience. Selma’s expertise lies in her case management, attention to detail, and litigation support.

Prior to joining Mint Legal, Selma worked in criminal law, and real estate law.

Selma’s legal expertise and high quality legal work contribute significantly to the Mint Legal team.

Legal Analyst

Allie has over 7 years of experience in the legal field and has been an integral part of Mint Legal since its start.

With extensive experience in document drafting, legal research and litigation support, Allie has helped spearhead many of our legal products including our Subscription library, and Desk Divorce University.

As of summer 2024, Allie will take on a supernumerary role as she directs her attention to pursuing studies toward a law degree.

Sara is the backbone of Mint Legal’s team, as she provides essential support that ensures the smooth running of our day-to-day operations.

Sara’s excellent communication and interpersonal skills generate meaningful professional relationships with our clients.

Sara manages the front-line of Mint Legal’s operations, and is the key point of contact for all initial inquiries to the firm.
